To ensure funds reach you safely, our payment partner may request you upload an image of your government-issued photo ID. The document must meet the following requirements:

Please follow these steps to submit your ID for review:

Step 1: Navigate to your transfers:

  1. Log into GoFundMe and choose "Your fundraisers" from the top right menu
  2. Choose the fundraiser where you're setting up transfers
    • US fundraisers - Choose "Fundraiser" from the left menu > then select "Transfers"
    • All other countries - Choose "Transfers" from the left menu
  3. On your Transfers page click "Get started"

Step 2: Continue to our payment partner’s secure information portal and click on "Personal details"

 

Step 3: You'll be prompted to start verification, click "Start verification"

Step 4: Choose your country and document type

 

Step 5: Upload your photo or take an image with your phone

After submitting, your document will be under review, and you can return to GoFundMe.

Re-uploading a document

If you've already uploaded a document that wasn't verified and need to upload a different one, follow these steps:

  1. Initiate process by clicking the link provided in the email titled “Action required - withdrawal setup failed” OR click the red banner in the “Transfers” page of your GoFundMe dashboard
  2. Then click "Continue to Adyen" or "Continue to Stripe", depending on your payment partner
  3. Click into the section, identity or bank, that has a red banner, and the button to upload will be in the bottom, right corner beside the "Edit" button
